Grain Valley High School, Grain Valley, MO
Project completed at Hollis and Miller Architects, 2018
As part of a decade-long, multi-phase project with the Grain Valley School District, Phase 4 introduced a transformative addition on the west side of the building, enhancing connectivity and collaboration. The new media center, designed to function like a modern college campus union, serves as the heart of the school with flexible seating, advanced technology, and a prominent glass eagle graphic symbolizing school pride. The addition also features a large group meeting space, a makerspace, and an expansive interior courtyard that floods classrooms and circulation areas with natural light. Tiered outdoor seating extends the learning environment, creating dynamic spaces for students to engage indoors and outdoors.
